Notes: One of my favorite stories that my Grandpa tells about my Grandma, is their first date. Grandma went over to Grandmas house where she lived with her family. He said he was served such a fantastic meal. After he was done eating he complemented my Grandmothers mother on being such a great cook. She replied with " I didn't make the meal, Fern did." Grandpa said from that moment on, he knew he wanted his feet under her table.
When Travis and I were little , and we would go visit my Grandparents. Grandma would make sure we had so much fun. She would take us the Lagoon to ride rides all day. We always went to the watersides too. Grandmas favorite thing to do with us was take us shopping. Grandma was a great shopper, she would always find the best deals.
Grandma loved Christmas, and her house was always done up. She loved everything to do with Christmas the decorations to the lights, and smells, and don't forget the shopping. She just loved to buy everyone gifts. She really had such a giving nature .
I was blessed with such a loving and giving Grandma. My favorite recipe my Grandma made was her canned pears. She would cook us a great meal and then ask what we wanted for dessert. I didn't want ice cream, or cake, I wanted her canned pears.
We lost Grandma only months before Travis. I am happy to know that Grandma was waiting for Travis on the other side. I know she is taking really good care of him.
