1 large pkg. lime gelatin
1 large can pear halves
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 T. cream
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 small bottle maraschino cherries

Directions:
Directions:
Yield: 8 servings
Prepare gelatin according to package directions, substituting 1/2 cup liquid from pears for 1/2 cup water. Refrigerate until partially set. Combine cream cheese and cream; form into 8 balls. Roll each ball in chopped nuts and place in pear halves. Place a thin layer of gelatin in bottom of a rectangular glass dish. Place stuffed pear halves in gelatin. Place a cherry in center of each. Pour remaining gelatin over pears and refrigerate until firm. Serve on lettuce.

This was a popular salad when we were growing up; Mom often made this dish for fellowship dinner at church.
