1 lb can pitted tart red cherries (water packed) drained
1 lb fresh rhubarb sliced (about 3 cups)
1 1/4 cups of sugar
1/4 cup quick-cooking tapioca
1/8 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp almond extract
4 drops red food coloring
Pastry for double crust pie

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the fruits with the next 5 ingredients in a bowl. Let stand about 20 minutes while preparing pastry and lining pie pan (crust recipe not incl.)
Pour filling into pastry lined 9" pie tin and cover with top crust. Bake @ 450º for 10 mins. Reduce heat to 350º and bake 40 to 45 mins longer. Serve warm or cooled.
