6 large potatoes cut in pieces
6 large carrots, pared and cut in 2-inch pieces
(or equivalent amount pre-washed small carrots)
3 lbs. stew beef, cut in 1 1/2-inch cubes
1/3 c. soy sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. pepper
3 T. flour
1 12-ounce bag frozen chopped onions
(or 12 oz. chopped fresh onions)
1 c. condensed beef broth
(or 2 beef bouillon cubes dissolved in 1 c. boiling water)
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Layer potatoes, then carrots in bottom of crock pot. Top with meat; sprinkle meat with soy sauce, salt, paprika, pepper and flour. Spread with chopped onions. Combine beef broth and tomato sauce and pour over all. Cover and cook on Auto 7 hours: or Low 9-11 hours; or High 5 hours.
