1/2 lb. butter
2 C. flour
2 C. chopped pecans Or... (Dzia Dzia would sometimes take hours cracking and picking out black walnuts that they would collect and dry from the yard. Made one delicious cookie....but soooo time consuming)
5 T. sugar
2 t. vanilla extract
1 T. water
1/2 t. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter. Add sugar, vanilla and water. Beat til creamy.
Sift flour and salt and stir into mixture. Add nuts and mix thoroughly. Shape into crescent shape.
Bake in slow oven at 325 degrees for about 20 minutes.
While still warm, roll in powdered sugar.
