1 (16.5 oz.) pkg. Dutch Applecake Mix
1 cup quick or old fashioned oats
1 cup chopped pecans
1 egg
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 Granny Smith apples
3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 cup caramel ice cream topping

Preheat oven to 350º F. Spray 9x13" baker with spray. In classic 2 qt. batter bowl, combine cake mix, oats and pecans. Sir in egg and butter until dry ingredients are moistened (mixture will be crumbly). Press 3 cups of crumb mixture onto bottom of baker; reserve remaining crumb mixture for topping. Bake 8 minutes. Remove from oven. Peel, core and slice apples. Cut apple slices into eighths. Sprinkle apples over crust. In 1-qt batter bowl, whisk flour into caramel topping. Pour caramel mixture evenly over apples; sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture. Bake 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Cool. To serve, cut into squares and serve topped with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
