1 1/2 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. walnuts
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 c. boiling water
2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs (whole)
2 egg yolks
1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Aunt Wanda's notes say to add more cinnamon and some nutmeg.

Directions:
Directions:
Put raisins and nuts in bowl add baking soda & boiling water. Let mixture cool for 1/2 hour. Blend butter and sugar, then add the rest of the ingredients.
Pour into 3 layer cake pans.
BAKE: 350º for 25 - 30 minutes
