4 cups sugar
4 cups berries

Cook together on low heat and when sugar dissolves boil 5 minutes longer. Place in shallow pans and let stand in the attic until thick. Place in prepared jars and freeze.

This is a very good recipe and works well to pour over moms cheesecake topped with fresh strawberries. I have done this in the attic but with the blown insulation it works best to put the pans in a tote with a tight lid so the preserves stay insulation free:)
