1 box Knox gelatin
1 cup cold water
4 cups sugar
3/4 cup water
pinch of cream of tarter
vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix gelatin and 1 cup water and let soak while making syrup.

Boil sugar and water until it threads well, then mix with the rest of the ingredients, including gelatin mixture. Beat until very stiff. Pour into pan to set for about 2 hours. Cut into squares when cool. Roll into toasted coconut, crushed peanuts or powdered sugar.
