Blend as you would Pie Pastry:
4 Cups flour
1 tsp. Salt
1-1/4 Cups margarine
1 Cake yeast, finely crumbled (or 1 envelope Live Active Dry yeast *)

Mix and Sir into flour mixture:
3 Egg yolks, beaten
1 Cup Sour Cream
1 tsp. Vanilla

Filling:
3 egg whites stiffly beaten
1 cup sugar
1-1/2 cup Nuts, finely chopped
1 tsp. Vanilla
(t tsp. Cinnamon – OPTIONAL)

Directions:
Directions:
Knead until smooth; divide dough into five balls
and chill for several hours.
Roll each ball on Powdered Sugar, then role into a 12-inch circle.
Spread on filling and cut into 12 (or 8) wedges.
Roll up each wedge from the large end to its point.
Place on greased cookie sheet, point-end down.
Bake at 350º for 18-20 minutes

* If using Active Dry Yeast add yeast to 1/4 C warm (120 deg. F.) with a teaspoon of sugar, let set for 10 minutes, then add to egg/sour cream mixture.
