1 cup milk
2/3 cup shortening
2/3 cup sugar
1 teaspon salt
2 eggs
4 1/2 cups flour
1 envelope yeast
1/2 cup water

1/2 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk, add shortening (oil is ok also) sugar and salt.
Cool to lukewarm.
Add eggs amd 1 cup of flour.
Beat smooth.
Add the yeast which has been dissolved in warm water.
Beat well, adding remainder of flour...mixing to a soft dough, just stiff enough
to handle.
Lightly grease top of dough,cover and allow to rise until DOUBLE.
Place in refig overnite, or up to a couple days at most.

Roll out to 1/4 inch thick (in batches) and cut 1/2 inch wide strips...about 7 - 8 inches long.

Dip in melted butter, then sugar and cinnamon mix.
Tie in a knot.
Place in a foil cupcake paper in cupcake pan.
Let rise sligtly...bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 min.
Makes 30 rolls.

Upon taking from oven, immediately remove from foil cupcake paper.
(Or they will stick)

This has been a favorite of the Wilson Family for generations...Marilyn's Mom made them and shipped them to her in college. Toni's girls (Emily, Madison and Olivia) have helped make these and have lots of fun doing it. It is a great holiday project. We often double the batch as they disappear so fast!
