1 C. shortening
1/2 C. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 C. brown sugar
1 egg
2 C. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp.cream of tartar
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar, vanilla, brown sugar and egg. Stir flour, salt, soda and
cream of tartar together then mix into creamed mixture. Form into balls, dip top half of ball into water and then roll in sugar. Bake at 325- 350º for about 10 minutes.
