5-7 tart apples (5 c)
1 9 inch unbaked pastry shell
1/2 C sugar
3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/3 C sugar
3/4 C all-purpose flour
6 Tbsp butter
*optional whip cream

Directions:
Directions:
Pare apples; core and cut in eighths. Arrange in unbaked pastry shell. Mix 1/2 Cup sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over apples.

Mix 1/3 c sugar with the flour; cut in butter till crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 400º for 35-40 minutes or till done. If pie browns too quickly, cover edge with foil. Cool. Top with Whip Cream.
