2 cups all purpose flour, spooned & leveled
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

1 tbsp fine grated lemon zest
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
1 lg egg


Lemon Glaze

2 cups powdered sugar
1 tbsp finely grated lemon zest
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tsp pure vanilla


Directions:

Preheat oven to 350*.

Whisk dry ingredients and lemon zest

Beat butter & sugar until light & fluffy. Add egg, vanilla, and lemon juice and mix until combined.

Add flour on low.

Drop by heaping tsp. Bake 15-20 minutes until edges are golden brown. Cool completely. Spread with lemon glaze and let set about 1 hour.



Lemon Glaze

2 cups powdered sugar

1/3 cup fresh lemon juice

Whisk together until smooth.
