2 dozen little neck or top neck clams shucked, clam bellies cut from muscles, juice reserved
About 4- 6 pieces of bacon, diced
1 red pepper diced, 1 small onion diced, 2 garlic cloves minced, 2 tablespoons minced parsley or basil, combined in a bowl.
2 tablespoons of butter

Directions:
Directions:
Melt the butter on medium in a small skillet and add the onions, pepper, garlic, parsley, bacon, and cook while stirring until softened. About 2-4 minutes. Set aside in a bowl.
Lay the shucked clams on a pizza or cookie sheet and top with the onion/pepper, bacon mixture.
Add the reserved clam juice, a little white wine or water, and some olive oil/butter to pan around the clams (This is optional but if you have bread and want juice to sop up then do this).
Broil the clams (3-4 inches away from heat) in a pre heated broiler for about 5-7 minutes or until crispy on top.
