1 1/2 cups butter softened
3 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
5 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt

Directions:
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Stir in the flour, baking powder, salt. Cover, an chill dough overnight. Only take out the dough you are using and leave the rest in the refrigerator.

Preheat oven to 400º
On parchment paper, roll out dough on floured surface 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
Cut into shapes with any cookie cutter. Put the cookie and cookie sheet in the freezer for a few minutes. When it gets hard place them in a air tight container and let them sit in the freezer over night. I cook them right out of the freezer.
Place cookies 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 6 to 8 minutes in preheated oven .
Cool completely.
