"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

1 whole chicken or 4 chicken breasts
2 quarts water
3 cups flour
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
To make chicken:

Bring water to boil. Drop in chicken and cook until done. Take out the chicken, remove bones and skin, and set aside.

To make dumplings:

Mix flour and egg really well and add just enough water until it holds together. The stiffer the dough, the better the dumplings. Roll out as thick as you like. Cut into the size you like. Bring the chicken broth from step one above back to a boil, and drop in dumplings. Cook until done. Add back chicken.
