4 Eggs
1 lb Granulated Sugar (2 Cups)
1 1/3 lb Hazelnuts (equals about 4 Cups ground)
1 tsp Vanilla

Beat eggs and sugar with mixer about 10 minutes. Add ground nuts and vanilla. Dough shouldn't be too hard. With damp fingers, form little balls and bake on greased cookie sheet in moderate oven 325 until light brown in color.

Mom had written down this recipe for me years ago and I have copied it exactly as she wrote it. I do not know how many one batch makes, and I have never actually tried to make them myself. But I always looked forward to these at Christmas!
