1/2 cup of soft butter
3/4 cup of confectioners sugar
1 tbsp vanilla
1/ 1/.2 cup of flour
pinch of salt
1 jar of merchino cherries ( drain about 10-15 of them)
Save the juice
ICING: 1 cup of confectioners sugar
2 tbsp of heavy cream
1 tsp cherry juice

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter and sugar and salt together. Blend in the flavoring. Add the other ingredients. Roll into balls with the cherries in the center. Will require you to pat and moosh....will look dry. Put balls on ungreased cookie sheet about 1 inch apart. Bake until golden brown...only a few minutes.
While still a bit warm ( not hot) pour on icing
Let cool and enjoy.
