3 cups flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl combine dry ingredients. Add butter. Cut in butter until crumbs form. Add buttermilk and gently stir with a fork. Knead gently. Do not overwork the dough. Roll out to 1 inch thick. Cut with a biscuit cutter or rim of a glass. Roll out excess dough and cut out again. Continue until all dough is used. Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 425º for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
