Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 package Bernbacher Nockerlgrieb Dumpling mix (available at specialty stores or on line)
1 Box Mrs.. Grass Soup Mix - noodle soup
1 medium or large egg
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
salt
ground nutmeg
chopped chives

Directions:
Directions:
In mixing bowl combine melted butter with a pinch of salt, dusting of ground nutmeg, and the egg. Stir till well mixed. Add the dumpling mix and stir until ingredients are just combined, don't over stir. Let stand 15 minutes.
In soup pan heat 8 cups water to boiling. Add soup mix and flavor packets to boiling water. When noodles begin to soften place teaspoon size amounts of the dumpling mix into the boiling broth. Reduce heat to simmer. Remove from heat when the dumplings begin to soften. Serve the soup in bowls and garnish with chopped chives.
Hint - the soup mix comes in a box with two compartments which makes a lot of noodles, we prefer to use the noodles from only one compartment, but use both flavor packets in either case.

Personal Notes:
This is our attempt to reproduce Mom's Greibnokerl soup. Of course, it's not as good as Mom's but does have some of the familiar flavors and may bring back memories. Mom used chives for garnish but parsley is a good substitute. I can remember having this soup throughout my childhood and it is always good!
