2 eggs
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 c. molasses
3/4 c. melted Crisco
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. ground ginger
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
1.) Beat eggs with sugar until light and fluffy.
2.) Add molasses and shortening; mix well.
3.) Sift dry ingredients together and add to molasses mixture; mix well.
4.) Stir in boiling water; pour into greased and floured 13" x 9" pan.
5.) Bake at 350º for 30 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
