Directions:
Mix yeast and warm water and set aside until soft. Heat the milk unit it is fairly warm and add to the milk; sugar, salt, shortening, and eggs. Once creamed add yeast and mix. Add flour 2 cups at a time. Mix real well and then add more. Add flour until the dough is firm but a little sticky. Brush dough with a little butter and cover with a hot kitchen towel. Let raise until double in bulk. Knead down once, let dough rest and raise about a 1/2 hour. Make out into any desired rolls or cinnamon rolls. (Grandmas assumed you knew what that is, so roll out and coat with liberal amounts of butter then sugar, brown sugar, and a dash of cinnamon or raisins before rolling) Let rise until double in bulk. Handle pans very carefully so dough will not fall. Bate at 325º about 30 min or until rolls are an even brown. (Then ice only if you want by mixing those ingredients together until frosting consistency)

Personal Notes:
I found this chicken scratch recipe in grandma's stuff. Every word is from her except what I added in parentheses. She makes it way better but a girl can try! Instead of making the big rolls, I have been making mini ones so it is like getting the heart of one every time! Instead of doing one big roll at the end, cut the sheet into 4 separate ones and then assemble.
