In a large heated pan with olive oil, add finely chopped onions. When halfway done, add minced garlic. Cook until the garlic is browned. Add tomato paste and mix well. Then I throw everything in my crock pot and add the tomato puree and crushed tomatoes. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, parsley, basil and Italian seasoning. Mix well. Cook for at least 6 hours on low heat.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This has been my "Girls Night Out" dinner at my house for several years now. No one wants anything different. Spaghetti, bread, wine and good company! Throw in some Farkle after dinner. Can't go wrong.

Freezes great!

*I have my Italian herb garden in the back yard. Can't even buy basil at the store that comes anywhere near fresh from the sweet basil in the backyard. Grows quick but it is the first thing to go when the weather turns cold. Pick it during the growing season, wash it, mince it and pack it into ice cube trays with alittle water. Fresh basil all winter!

*I also have made this for friends with picky kids who won't eat veggies. You can hide almost 2 cups of carrots, put through food processor and 2 cups spinach in food processor too. They never knew!
