6 split chicken breasts
1 stick butter
1 c. chopped onion
1/4 lb. mushrooms
1 clove garlic, chopped
1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. thyme
1-13 3/4 oz. can of chicken broth
2 chicken boullion cubes
1 c. Sauterne Wine Can use Sherry or Marsala Wine.

Wash chicken, remove skins and dry.
Brown breasts.
Remove breasts from the skillet.
Add onions, mushrooms and garlic.
Sauté for 5 min.
Remove from heat.
Combine flour, salt, pepper and thyme; stir into onion mixture.
Gradually stir in broth, crumble and add bullion cubes.
Bring to a boil, stirring then reduce the heat and add sauterne wine.
Add chicken to mixture.
Put into a baking dish. Preheat oven to 400º - bake 45 min.
Serve over rice. Chicken is moist and delicious! Freezes well so it can be made ahead of time. Can double recipe for a large group. ©

This recipe was found in the St. Bonifice Cookbook. This is the Catholic church in my town. It has wonderful recipes my whole family uses.
