2 cups flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon grated orange rind
3/4 cup milk
12 cubes cut sugar
1/4 cup orange juice

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour once; measure; add baking powder and salt and sugar; sift together 3 times. Cut in butter and milk, gradually. Add orange rind. Mix to consistency of soft tough. Turn on slightly floured board and roll 1/2 inch thick. Cut with small biscuit cutter. On top of each biscuit, place 1/2 lump of sugar dipped in orange juice. Bake at 400º for 15 minutes. Makes 24 biscuits.
