2 cups flour
4 tsp. baking powder
2/3 tsp. salt
4 tablespoons butter
2/3 cup milk
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour once; measure; add baking powder and salt; sift together 3 times. Cut in butter and add milk gradually. Mix with knife to soften the dough. Turn on slightly floured board and roll 1/4 inch thick. Spread with creamed butter. Sprinkle with brown sugar and nuts. Roll as if a jellyroll and cut in 1-inch pieces. Stand these on end in greased muffin tins. Bake at 375º for 30 minutes. Makes 12 biscuits.
