1 c. sifted flour
2 t. baking powder
1 egg
2 T. oil
1 t. vanilla
1/2 c. sugar
Pinch of salt
2/3 c. milk

Topping:
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
1/2 c. butter, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Grease and flour an 8"x8" baking pan. Combine all cake ingredients; beat until smooth. Pour into pan. Combine topping ingredients, brown sugar, cinnamon, and pecans. Sprinkle over batter. Bake 20-25 minutes. Pour melted butter on top, return to oven for 5 minutes.

This recipe is from the EET SMAKELIJK recipe book from the Junior Welfare League of Holland, Michigan. The recipe book was given to me as a high school graduation gift by my great aunt, which started my recipe book collection that continues to this day.
