1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup margarine
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
2 cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and margarine. Add sugar and mix. Add salt, vanilla, egg, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Beat. Add flour. Chill dough for 10 medium. Roll in a ball( walnut size ),then roll in sugar, flatten with fork. Bake 350º for approximately 10 minutes or when the cookies are brown on the bottom. Remove cookies from cookie sheet immediately.
