Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 stick of butter
1 medium sized head of cabbage, sliced 1/2" thick
1 medium onion, diced
1/2 lb. bacon (optional)
salt and pepper
egg noodles

Directions:
Directions:
In a large skillet, melt the entire stick of butter. Add the onions and saute until they begin to soften. Do not allow onions to brown. Add cabbage to the pan and stir. Add salt and pepper to taste. Increase the heat to medium, cover pan and allow cabbage to steam for approximately 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Meanwhile, cook 1/4 bag of egg noodles according to package directions. If using bacon, cook bacon while noodles are boiling.

Add noodles and bacon to cabbage mixture, season to taste. Enjoy!

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Thick-cut bacon is better, cut into thick cubes. Don't cook bacon until crispy.

Sausage can be substituted for bacon but this is great without any meat.
