2 cups sugar
2 cups plain flour
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 rounded tablespoons cocoa
2 sticks margarine
Nuts according to taste

9 x 13 pan
Set oven for 350 degrees. Place butter or margarine in pan and place in oven to melt. Mix other ingredients. Add melted butter gradually in mix. Leave a little butter in the pan--just enough to coat it. Add nuts. Pour in pan and bake.

This recipe was given to me by Gene Bryson's mother. Gene and I worked together at UAH. Mrs. Bryson would come by pretty often, and whenever we saw her, we were all secretly hoping she brought the brownies. We loved them, and we loved her!
