1 c shorting
1 c sugar
2 eggs
2 c real ripe mashed bananas
2 c flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 c chocolate chips
1/4 c maraschino cherries
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar, add egg and beat well, and bananas then shifted dry ingredients, mixing well. Add chips, cherries and nuts mixing well. Pour into loaf pan and bake in 325º for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean. (You can double recipe and it makes 3 loaves.
