2 1/2 c powdered sugar
1/4 c butter, softened
1 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp almond extract
2-8 oz jars cherries with stems
2 c semi sweet chocolate chips
2 tbps shortening

Directions:
Directions:
In mixing bowl combine sugar, butter, milk and extract, mixing well. Knead into a ball. Roll int 1" ball and flatten each into 2" circle. Wrap around well drained cherries and roll lightly in hands. Place with stems up on waxed paper lined baking sheet. Cover and refrigerate 4 hours.

Melt chocolate and shortening in casserole dish. Holding on to stem, dip rolled cherries into chocolate. Set on waxed paper to harden. Store in covered containers. Refrigerate 1-2 weeks.
