"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/2 lb. Crabmeat, fresh cooked, frozen or canned (7.5 oz.)
8 oz. Cream Cheese, softened
1 Egg, beaten
Dash each of Garlic Powder, Onion Powder and ground Black Pepper
1 tsp. Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp. Cornstarch
3 Tbsp. Water
48 Wonton Skins
Oil for frying

Directions:
Directions:
Drain crabmeat and pick over, carefully removing cartilage.
In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper and soy sauce. Add crabmeat to mixture and fold in gently.
Make a paste by mixing the cornstarch and water together.
Place wonton wrapper on a flat surface, the points facing up and down. Place about 1/2-1 tsp. of filling slightly below the center of the skin. Moisten the edges of the skin with the cornstarch paste and fold the top half down to form a triangle. Press edges to seal. With cornstarch paste, moisten the front of the triangles, right corner and back of the left corner. With twisting motion, cross the right and left points by bringing them together on the opposite side of the fold from the point towards you. Press to seal.
To fry: Heat oil to a depth of 1-inch in a large skillet. Maintain heat at moderately hot. Fry wontons until golden brown (do not crowd). Turn once while frying. Drain on paper towel.
Serve with sweet & sour sauce or hot mustard.
