TRADITIONAL METHOD

1. Scald 2 cups milk - add 1/2 cup margarine or butter to this to melt.
2. Put 1 Tbsp. yeast in lukewarm water, about 3/4 cup and 1 tsp. sugar. Let stand 10 min.
3. When milk is lukewarm, add 1/2 cup sugar, 1-1/2 tsp. salt and 2 eggs. Beat together, then add flour, a little at a time, about 6 cups.
4. Mix well and knead on floured board with more flour until you can handle dough. (Make a soft dough, not sticky, but do not add too much flour or knead too much)
5. Rise double in bulk; punch down; rise again.
