1 can cream of Mushroom soup
1/2 cup water
1 lb ground chuck
1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs (2 slices of toast)
2 T minced onion
1 T minced parsley
1 egg
1/4 tsp salt
1 T shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Blend cream of mushroom soup with water. Measure out 1/4 cup soup. Combine with ground chuck, bread crumbs, minced onion, minced parsley, egg, and salt.
Shape into meat balls about 1 inch in diameter. Brown in shortening in a large skillet. Add remaining soup mixture; cover.
Cook over low heat about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Water can be added and they can be simmered for a good while (45 minutes or so).
