1cup of brown sugar.
6 Tbsp of corn syrup.
2 tsp of baking soda.
1/4 tsp of salt.
1 cup of shortening.
2 eggs.
1 tsp of vanilla.
3-4 cups of flour.

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven at 350 º F.
Mix above in order listed.
Roll out and cut in circles.
Put one circle of dough on greased cookie sheet.
Place 1/2 tsp of jam in the middle.
Cover up with other circle sealing the edges.
You may want to chill the dough for an hour in the fridge. It will be easier to roll and with the folding over.

Bake for 15 minutes ( check them at 14 minutes. You want just light brown around the edges.
