1 lb. margarine
2 c. sugar
1/4 c. corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
Chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
In saucepan, melt margarine over low heat. Add sugar and stir constantly over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Add corn syrup and continue to cook stirring constantly to prevent burning until temperature reaches 290º. Remove from heat, add salt and nuts, mix gently. Pour mixture into a well greased surface and spread out with spatula to about ¼” thickness. Before toffee sets, use a knife to press breaking lines into the candy. When cool and firm, break toffee into pieces. Melt chocolate chips and spread over toffee.
