1 C butter or margarine
4 (1 oz.) squares of unsweetened chocolate
4 eggs
2 C sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 C flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 C chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter and chocolate over low heat. Cool. Beat eggs slightly & blend in sugar, vanilla & chocolate mixture. Sift together flour, baking powder & salt. Stir into chocolate mixture. Add walnuts. Spread in greased 9x13 pan. Bake in 350º oven for 30 minutes or until done. Cool in pan on rack.
