Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 -4 jars of Francesca Rinaldi Sweet & Tasty Tomato Sauce
1 qt jar of canned tomatoes (or a large can of diced tomatoes)
3 tbsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp crushed red pepper
1 1/2 lb hot Italian sausage, cut into 1 1/2" chunks
Tomato paste (optional)
2 - 3 tbsp sugar (to taste or you can omit)
meatballs (see my recipe under main courses: beef:)
Your favorite pasta!!!

Directions:
Directions:
Bake chunks of Italian sausage in oven for 30 minutes (with meatballs). In a large sauce pan, add sauce, tomatoes, Italian seasonings, red pepper. Stir well. Add cooked sausage and meatballs. Bring to a boil stirring carefully not to break the balls. Simmer for an hour, add sugar to taste. Simmer for at least another hour and add tomato paste if not thick enough. Serve over your favorite pasta!!! So, let me tell you a little story about the pasta! One time when Jim and I were first married, I made rigatoni, my favorite. He made a comment about dinner being "crap" (not a good idea) , apparently he didn't like rigatoni! So, if I was making sauce and he ticked me off, guess what we had......rigatoni!!!! Don't mess with the cook:)))

Personal Notes:
So, it is not totally homemade, but it is delish!!! You can use your favorite jarred spaghetti sauce if you can't get Fracescas. The kids and I will never forget this story! Luckily, I married a man with a great sense of humor!
