Ingredients:
Ingredients:
DAY 1: 1-1/2 C. Starter, 29 oz. can sliced Peaches and 2-1/2 C. Sugar.
DAY 10: 16 oz. can Pineapple chunks and 2 1/2 C. of Sugar.
DAY 20: 29 oz. can Fruit Cocktail, 10 oz. jar of Maraschino Cherries and
2-1/2 C. Sugar.
DAY 30-Ready to make the Cake:
1 box Butter or Yellow Cake mix
1-4 serving size box Instant Vanilla Pudding mix
4 Eggs
2/3 C . Vegetable Oil
1-1/2 C. reserved Fruit mixture
1 C. Nuts (chopped Walnuts or Pecans)

Directions:
Directions:
With a "Starter" follow these directions. (A starter is fruit liquid after 30 day processing period.)
DAY 1: Pour 1-1/2 C. Starter into a glass wide-mouthed gallon jar. Add sliced Peaches and juice after cutting each Peach slice into four pieces. Add Sugar and stir.
Cover jar loosely with wax paper. Stir every day for 10 days. Do NOT use a metal spoon. Leave jar on the counter, at room temperature. Do NOT refrigerate.
DAY 10: Add chunk Pineapple and juice, cut chunks in half. Add Sugar. Stir every day for ten days. Color will change and fruit will foam.
DAY 20: Add Fruit cocktail, Maraschino Cherries, cut in half (do not add juice); and 2-1/2 C. Sugar. Stir every day for ten days.
DAY 30: Drain fruit in colander over large bowl for about 15 minutes or until fruit has stopped draining. This juice is your New Starter. Pass 1-1/2 C. of Starter to Friends (with recipe) or make several cakes! Fruit cake must be started within three days after receiving new starters.
See Replenishing Starter in the "Starter Recipe," if you do not use it all to make a cake. Remember to always save 1-1/2 C. Starter for yourself if you want to make this again.
The Starter can NOT be refrigerated (it will die). Reserve the strained fruit, this can be refrigerated for 3 weeks and is enough to make 4 cakes.

Ready to make the Cake: Preheat oven to 350°F.
Combine all cake ingredients together, adding fruit and nuts last. Do NOT use a mixer or metal bowl. Grease and flour either a Bundt pan, four 2 pound loaf pans or eight 1 pound loaves.
Bake Bundt pan or tube pan for approximately 1 hour. 2 pound loaf pans take about 45 minutes. They should be nicely brown and a toothpick inserted in the middle should come out clean. Let cake sit overnight before cutting. Cakes can be frozen. They are easier to cut in slices, if cut when frozen and they thaw quickly.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
You need to follow the Friendship Cake recipe for 30 days to make this cake. This involves advance planning, after you have your Starter, it takes another 30 days before you can bake your first cake. Don't give up, it is worth it! Unlike the Fruitcake people joke about at Christmas, this one is Delicious and you will not want to give it away. I promise!
