2 cups of sugar
1 cup of butter
4 eggs
4 cups of flour
5 bananas, mashed
1 t. salt
1 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
1 cup broken walnuts, optional
1/2 cup maraschino cherries, halved

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter. Beat eggs till light and add to creamed mixture. Sift together flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture a little at a time. Mix in bananas alternating with each addition of flour. Beat to make a well blended dough. Stir in cherries and nuts.

Grease 4 small pans. Bake at 350º for 40 minutes or longer, test with toothpick.
