1/2 c brown sugar
4 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 c cold butter
2 eggs
1 1/4 c canned pumpkin or fresh pureed

3 tbsp milk
1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. In another bowl, whisk the eggs, pumpkin & 1/2 cup of milk. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Add optional ingredients if desired. I always add something!!

Turn onto floured surface; knead 10 times. Divide dough in half. Pat each portion into an 8" circle; cut each into wedges. Separate wedges and place 1" apart on ungreased baking sheets. Brush with remaining milk. º

Bake at 400º for 12-15 minute or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks; cool for 10 minutes. Combine glaze ingredients; drizzle over scones. Serve warm.

Personal Notes:
I usually add raisins, chopped walnuts and chocolate chips! Once I glaze them, I top with toasted pumpkin seeds! This is a great Fall recipe.
