3 lbs ground beef (90%lean)
1 chopped onion
4 cans pinto beans (drained)
4 can tomato sauce
Williams chili seasoning for 4 lbs. of meat (original)
Pedro Lopes chili powder
diet coke (1-2 cans) to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Brown hamburger with onion. Drain off grease. Add all of Williams chili seasoning, beans and sauce. Add Pedro Lopez chili powder (2-3 tbsp) and diet coke (1-2 cans) to taste. Bring to a boil, let simmer for 20 minutes then let it sit and cool or barely warm on low heat for at least 30 minutes before serving.

This is a variation of my Dad's recipe. He came up with the idea of using pop, although he used 7-up. He said it helped you burp after eating.
