3 stiffly beaten egg whites
3 3/4 c powdered sugar
1/3 c shortening
1 T glycerin (optional)
1/2 tsp almond or 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Slowly add 1 1/2 c sugar to beaten egg whites. Beat until smooth and thick. Cream shortening until light and fluffy. Add 3/4 c sugar and mix until well blended. Combine the two mixtures. Add glycerin and vanilla. Gradually beat in remaining sugar.
