1 pkg dry yeast (1 Tbsp)
4 cups warm water
4 cups flour

1 cup sugar
2 cups butter or lard(melted)
2 tsp baking powder
2 eggs beaten
2 cups raisins
1 Tbsp vinegar
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together yeast and 1 cup of warm water and 1 tsp sugar. Let sit until bubbly, add 4 cups of water and flour to make a sponge dough. Let rise for a few hours.

Add the remaining ingredients and add enough flour to make a dough as for buns/bread. Let rise. Make golf sized buns and let rise again until double in bulk. Fry in deep, hot fat until golden brown. Roll in sugar.
