4 Cups fruit.. peaches/berries/cherries (whatever)
2 cups sugar, divided in 2-1 cup
1/2 cup water
8 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups milk
cinnamon (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
pre heat oven to 350º
Combine fruit and 1 cup sugar, and water in saucepan, mix well and simmer for 10 min.
remove from heat
put the butter in a 3 quart baking dish and place in oven to melt
mix remaining 1 cup sugar, flour and milk slowly to prevent clumping. Pour mixture over butterl do not stir. spoon fruit on top, and sprinkle with sugar & cinnamon.. top with addtional couple pats of butter. during baking the batter will rise to top and cover fruit
bake for 30-45 min.
