29 oz. can saurekraut
2 cups of water

Take sausage out of casing and break in to small rounds, add to the kraut along with 2 cups of water and boil for 1 hour

I buy fresh sausage but you could use smoked, when using fresh it looks better if you take the casing off the sausage. I find 1 lb. is usually enough for the 29oz. of kraut, but you certainally can add more.
