Preheat oven to 325
Grease and lightly flour 2 9-inch round pans
2 eggs
2 cups sugar
2/3 cup vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla
2 2/3 cup all purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
2 cups brewed coffee

1) Place 4 ounces of chocolate in 2-cup measuring cup
2) Pour in coffee up to 2-cup mark, let coffee melt chocolate but do not mix, then set aside
3) With mixer beat eggs until light
4) Add and mix sugar, oil and vanilla to eggs
5) In separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda and baking powder – set aside
6) When chocolate is melted, pour off coffee leaving melted chocolate
7) Add melted chocolate to egg/sugar mixture then blend
8) Alternately add flour and coffee and blend after each item is added
9) Pour batter into greased, floured pans
10) Bake for 30 minutes
11) Remove from oven and place on racks for 10 minutes to cool
12) Turn cakes out of pans
