3/4 bag of pearl barley
1 packet Goodman's onion soup mix
1 kishka
3 potatoes
1 large onion
1 chuck steak

On Friday: In a crock-pot or slow-cooker, place all ingredients (in any order). Add water - use your discretion, but we suggest not going above the inner rim of the crock-pot.
Plug it in, turn it on (put it on a timer if you'd like), and voila! Shabbos lunch is set!
